Arlene Griffith
President, Licensed Title Insurance Agent
Arlene Griffith was born and raised in Centerburg, Ohio and currently resides there with her husband, Bob. Centerburg is where the Griffiths have raised their three children. Arlene has been personally involved in the title and real estate industries since 1989 and counting. She has worked in all areas--starting as an Abstractor, Legal Assistant, a Licensed Real Estate Agent, a licensed title insurance agent, and finally to President of ACS Knox County in 1991. Using her wealth of knowledge about the industry, she has conducted training seminars upon request for loan officers and realtors. Along with servicing the title industry in these ways, Arlene runs the ACS Knox Title office on a daily basis. She can be found meeting and greeting clients, closing loans, answering questions, and resolving clients' needs. When Arlene is away from work, she enjoys traveling in all areas and spending time with her family and her four grandchildren.
James Giles
Vice President & Counsel, Licensed Title Insurance Agent
Jim is a graduate of Kenyon College and The Ohio State University College of Law. He has practiced law in Knox County, Ohio since 1981 and has been involved in the title industry since 1991 as counsel and consultant to ACS Mount Vernon. Jim resides in Gambier, Ohio with his wife, Kim, and has two adult sons. He is a member of the Knox County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a Certified Family Law Specialist. He is a licensed title insurance agent for the Ohio Bar Title Insurance Company. Jim currently serves on the Board of the Foundation for the Knox Community Hospital and is a Commissioner of the Knox County Park District.
Stephanie Back
Licensed Title Insurance Agent
Stephanie is originally from Mount Vernon, Ohio, which is where she now resides with her husband and son. Steph has been involved in the title insurance industry since 1994. She is happy to have served all her years with ACS. Stephanie can be counted on to answer your questions with a laugh and a smile. On the weekends Steph enjoys spending time with her family and being in touch with friends.
Val Smith
Closing Coordinator
Val resides in Fredericktown, Ohio area with her husband and together, they have 2 daughters, 2 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter. Val has been involved in the title industry and with ACS since 1998. Prior to her working at ACS, she worked in the banking industry for 10 years with her last position being Supervisor of Loan Operations. Her knowledge lends to answering numerous questions for our clients and also her co-workers--which is much appreciated. Construction lending and manufactured homes have been a good part of Val’s position in the last 13 years. Away from ACS, Val can be found reading, playing with grandchildren and gardening.
Kelly Moreland
Closing Coordinator
Kelly is originally from Centerburg, Ohio and currently resides there with her husband and 2 children. Kelly has been involved with the title industry and ACS since 1996. Kelly specializes in streamline FHA and VA loans. Kelly is the go-to person for one of our largest clients and takes the term "customer care" to the next level in the title industry. After hours, Kelly enjoys family vacations and boating and water activities.
Luanne White
Account Manager
Luanne is originally from Fostoria, Ohio and now resides in Centerburg, Ohio. With ACS Title since 1994, she is the Accounting Manager handling all financial aspects of ACS including the Trust Accounts. Luanne also handles all of this office's construction files while in the construction process. She can also be relied upon to assist in all areas when needed. When not focused on ACS, Luanne enjoys working with her husband in their family business and spending time with her family.
Beth Shearrow
Closing Officer
Beth Shearrow is a life long resident of Centerburg. She and her husband Glenn have 3 grown children who are located in the central Ohio area. Beth spent 19 years as a Realtor before becoming a closer for ACS Title. Beth enjoys her closer position because she meets many different people at the closing table. Beth has also served her community as Hilliar Township Fiscal Officer for over 23 years. She enjoys water sports, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Cameron Robertson
Closing Officer
Cameron has a BA from MVNU. He worked in a science and technology research facility for 9 years and in the music business for 15 years. Since 2002 he has been conducting closings for ACS. He resides outside of Mt. Vernon with his wife.
Cindy McDowell
Senior Closing Officer
Cindy is originally from northern Indiana. She now resides in Centerburg with her husband and four children. Although graduating with an Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering, she finds her true passion for the real estate industry. She has been in the title business since 1996 and has experience as a Closing Coordinator, Processor, Funding, and preparing final policies. Her current duties include facilitating closings and training other closers. When away from work, she is active in her church and loves spending time with her family and friends.
Dorothy Wright
Final Policies
Dorothy is originally from New Brunswick, Canada but now resides in Centerburg, Ohio with her husband. She has raised 3 children and currently has 7 grandchildren. Dorothy has been with ACS since 2001 but has been in the title industry since 1997. Dorothy has previous experience both in closing loans and processing closed loans. Aside from her main role at ACS, she is greatly relied upon for her organizational skills and comic relief. After hours, Dorothy enjoys reading and relaxing.
